Midterms- Tuesday, Sept 10th

Mid Terms will be coming home tomorrow (Sept 10th). Please check the following with your student.

Upon reviewing Mid-term grades, these are the following suggestions for Math:

  • Have student check morning math daily and parent check over morning math ( this is a spiral review of skills the student has already been taught previously).
  • Check grades daily/weekly on ParentVue (call the office if you do not have a login)
  • Check teacher websites daily/weekly (CMS Website) for updates, test dates, and homework info.
  • Check student agenda and ask them to show you any work that is “homework” or needed to be studied.
  • Has your student completed ANY Error Analysis “Corrections” for their past tests? This was discussed at Open House, on my website, as well as in class. All directions have been given to your students on where to locate a corrections page, the time they have to make corrections (5 days), and where to turn it back in “Drop Off Error Analysis”.

Tutoring- Tuesdays & Thursdays

I have had a few parents ask about extra practice time or tutoring. Mrs. Brown and I offer tutoring/work time during our lunch on Tuesday and Thursdays. Students will bring their lunch into our classrooms, where we can assist them with questions, they can work on homework, or study. They will need to ask questions during this time, because we will be working with small groups, individuals, or helping students make up tests.

This was announced at open house, it is on the math syllabus, and we have announced this in class to all students. Please remind your student to take advantage of this time throughout the week.

Donors Choose Flex Seating!

We are trying to grab some flexible seating for our math classroom! We are excited to see what this seating will allow and how it will give students a little more freedom in choice in their own learning environment. If you want to donate a buck or two, follow the link below. They will double the donation if you use the promocode: LIFTOFF
Thanks for any donations added :)
