Robotics is an intense, fun, competition based group that incorporates STEM, problem solving, public speaking, and team work. We meet at least twice a week. Sometimes there is work that needs to be done outside of meetings, so commitment is very important. There are three components to Robotics Competition: Robot (building and programming to complete missions), Project (a themed project designed, implemented and presented by the team), and Core Values (Using FLL Core Values and presenting how they are used by the team).
Students at CMS in grades 6-8 can apply to be part of the team. The application includes written components as well as listing teachers who would speak for the student. Competition rules only allow for 10 team members.
